The Hawaii University International Conferences welcomes and invites papers (in English only) from all areas and related fields.

The conference’s primary objective is to provide a platform for researchers, academicians and other professionals from all over the world to present research results and developments in their respective fields. Submitted conference papers will be double-blind peer reviewed.

Please note: Our conferences do not charge for submissions, or revisions made to papers.

PRESENTATION FORMAT

The conference language is in English. Please indicate the topic/area for which your paper is suitable. Each paper will be double-blind peer reviewed in the relevant areas. Call for Research Papers, Student Papers, Case Studies, Reports, Theses, and Abstracts.

Paper sessions will consist of three to four presentations in a 90 minute session. The session will be divided equally between the presenters. PC Laptop with Sound System, LCD Projector and Screen will be made available for presentation.

Workshop/Panel presentations will be given a full 90 minute session. PC Laptop with Sound System, LCD Projector and Screen will be made available for presentation.

Performances/Recitals will be given a full 90 minute session. PC Laptop with Sound System, LCD Projector and Screen will be made available for presentation. Piano will be available by request.

Poster sessions a 90 minutes open concept with various presenters. This session allows attendees to interact with the presenters one-to-one. Supplies will be provided: Easel, Tri-fold Display Board (36 x 48 inches or 91.4 x 122 cm), Markers, Push Pins, Tapes, Table, etc.

Reviewers are selected among academic members of the Institute and non-related academics and researchers. An attempt is made to homogenize the review process and reviewers’ decisions are based on overall quality of analysis. For cases in which the 2 referees have different opinions, the editor decides whether the paper is accepted or rejected.

All accepted papers will be considered for publication in the conference proceedings (CD-ROM) which will be made available for our participants. An online publication will also be available in our archives which is SEO optimized so that our participants work will easily be found on the Internet. Papers Not Presented, are not considered for publication.

Notice of all accepted papers will be conveyed to the corresponding author through e-mail.

The Conference accepts a limit of two contributed submissions per lead author

Everyone is welcome to attend the conference. If you wish to participate without presenting a paper, ie to chair a session, evaluate papers to be included in the conference program and proceedings, etc. Please send an email to the above address(ess) and indicate the topic or research area you wish to be part of.

Session Chair is required to register for conference.

Acknowledgment of received submissions will be via email. If you have not heard from us within 72 hours, please do not hesitate to contact HUIC at 1-808-537-6500.

Proposal/ Submission Format Guideline

1. Create a Title Page for your submission. The title page should include:

a. Title of your paper/proposal
b. Topics/Areas
c. Salutation (Dr, Prof, Mr. Ms, Mrs.)
d. Name of authors – Family name/Last name, First name
e. Department and affiliation/University
f. Synopsis (short, brief description)
g. Picture/image (optional)
h. Proceeding publication submission: PDF or Microsoft word
i. Presentation format: Papers, Workshop, or Poster
j. Please provide at least one Q&A

p. IMPORTANT: A picture of yourself and a picture that best represents your presentation in the program book will generally attract more attendees to your session. Strongly consider including at least a picture of yourself or your team, if you do not submit one, your university logo will be used as a default. NOTE: Name your pictures appropriately. Only select approved images will be used. Please use high resolution images for best results. Picture of yourself or your team.
