Prompted by the implementation of a new curriculum compliant with the ACTFL standards, the Spanish and Portuguese Department of the University of Southern California has embraced the 5 Cs of ACTFL to provide students with a conceptually new learning experience: Lingua Franca, an innovative way to extend exposure to Spanish language and Hispanic culture outside of the classroom walls.
